About Templ

Built From the Ground Up.

I've been on the tools since 2010 and I never wanted to be anywhere else. Building is what I'm good at and what I love. I got lucky that they turned out to be the same thing.

I spent those years working under some of Melbourne's most respected builders on high-end architectural jobs, and I paid attention. I knew that when my own name went on the fence, the work had to hold that same standard, because the one the industry usually gets away with was never going to be good enough for me.

I started Templ during COVID. While the industry sat on its hands, I studied, got registered and started building for people who believed the same thing I do. A home built with genuine care looks and feels different, and you can tell the moment you walk in.

Templ is my name on the fence and my standard on the site, every job, every day.

The Design Files

Our Oxford Street project, a complete rebuild of an industrial-era wool shed loft in Collingwood, was featured in The Design Files. Designed by Fluent Studio, executed by Templ. Projects like that one happen when the architect, the client and the builder all actually care. Nobody was pretending on that job.

How We Work

SCODA

Our values are not wall art. They are daily standards.

S

Self-awareness

Embrace what you feel and why you feel it. Growth starts with awareness, not avoidance.

C

Challenge the way you think

Stay curious, not defensive. Growth comes from questioning what you know.

O

Optimism

Choose to find the good, even in challenge, and refuse to fall into a pessimistic mindset.

D

Dedication

Committed to sharpening your skills and evolving your mindset, always striving to do better than yesterday.

A

Accountability

Hold yourself and your team to the highest standard. Own your actions and deliver the quality you'd expect in return.

"SCODA before you swing a hammer."

Who We Build For

A lot of our clients come to us careful. Plenty have been burned by a builder before, or know someone who has. They ask hard questions, and we like that. It means they care about the result as much as we do.

They're not shopping for the cheapest quote. They want a builder who understands the brief well enough to make it better, keeps them across everything without being asked, and hands over a job they'll still be proud of in twenty years.

If that sounds like you, we should talk.
